Enzo Rapalino was born and grew up in Treiso, a small village in the Langhe, Piedmont, within the production area of BARBARESCO D.O.C.G., one of the most important wine district in Italy.

His family owned vineyards and sold grapes, igniting Enzo’s passion for the world of wine from a young age. As a teenager, he studies Oenology and Viticulture in Alba. It is during those years that he decides to embark on his own winemaking journey.

When a dream becomes a winery: the birth of La Ganghija

His dream comes true with the establishment of La Ganghija winery, which in 2004 produces its first vintage of Barbaresco. In 1999, he meets Milena, his future wife, who comes from a family of grape producers too. Milena supports Enzo in fulfilling his dream, and in 2020, she officially joins the family company, taking charge of vineyard, visits and cellar management together with Enzo.
